Tuesdays are quickly turning into my favourite day of the week. Why? Because it's my regular kiln day. There's always a little sense of apprehension while I'm waiting to see how everything has turned out. And a sense of satisfaction when I remove each object from the kiln.

I made some samples of our different workshop options and will continue to post more when I figure out how to keep the portable photo box from collapsing every few seconds.

Into the Kiln.

We've been busy getting things ready for our first workshops in April: looking for space to hold our workshops, shopping for porcelain, and making samples. Today was the first day that we had time to fire some items. Can't wait to take these out of the kiln.

We're also planning something special for May and Mother's day.

Japan trip.

We're back from our Japan trip. What a busy time now that we're finished our Porcelarts instructors course. There were some moments where we weren't sure if we would be finished in time or would need to extend our trip. It turns out figuring out kiln firing times is a little more complicated when we're making 25 pieces of dinnerware. We've shipped a few things back from Japan and can't wait to share all the beautiful projects we've completed.

Now we're hard at work putting together all the things that need to occur before we can start offering workshops. Well... After we get over our jetlag.
